Understanding the Concept of Total Purity

“May the God of peace himself make you holy in every way. And may your whole being—spirit, soul, and body—remain blameless when our Lord Jesus, the Messiah, appears”.

--( 1 Thessalonians 5:23)

What is Purity?

In a simple meaning, it is ‘freedom from contamination, defilement or pollution’.

God’s Concept of Purity is called TOTAL PURITY.

What is Total Purity?

Means, “To be clean in the spirit, soul and body”.

God’s Will for you is not just sexual purity, but for you to experience His Total Purity Package.

I will share with you Five (5) types of Total Purity Package

1.       Spiritual Purity: it means to be clean in your human spirit. This is the beginning of all purity. You experience this when get born again by receiving Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.

“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name” (John 1:12)

“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God”. (John 3:3)

^“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new”.  (2 Corinthians 5:17)

2.       Mental Purity: it means to be clean in your mind. Our thoughts and imaginations are sanctified from fear, pride, immorality and evil.

“Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ” (2 Corinthians 10:5)

“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he” (Proverbs 23:7)

“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God”. (Romans 12:2)

3.       Emotional Purity: it means to be clean and pure in your heart and feelings.  When you are free from poisons like bitterness, malice, jealousy, abuse, hate, anger, lust, depression and so on.

“Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God”. (Matthew 5:8)

 ^“A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks”. (Luke 6:45)

4.       Body Purity: it means to be clean and pure in your physical body. Sexual purity is the most common form of Body purity but it is not the only form. There are also other ways God want us to pure in other body apart from freedom from sexual immorality. Body purity also consist of freedom from Substance abuse like alcoholism and smoking, freedom from leprosy disease and also physical dirtiness.

“What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's”. (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service”. (Romans 12:1)

5.       Material Purity: it means having properties/possessions that are clean and sanctified before God. It means that whatever you have is gotten through wicked and dishonest means and also it has not being sacrificed to idols.

“But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood”. (Acts 15:20)

“That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well”. (Acts 15:29)

Categories of Purity

“In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness”. (Zechariah 13:1)

1.       We have Individual purity.

2.       We have Family purity.

3.       We have Land (Community, State, and Nation) Purity.

There are Three Levels of Purity Experience

1.       The Blood Level Purity: This experience of the Blood of Jesus is for forgiveness and redemption from sin and defilement. It brings spiritual cleansing.

^“In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace”. (Ephesians 1:7)

2.       The Word Level Purity: This experience of the Word of God (Bible Scriptures) brings you to a place of mental/emotional transformation and purification and also gives us knowledge on how to live a lifestyle of consecration and dedication.

“Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you”. (John 15:3)

3.       The Fire Level Purity: This is a very powerful level. It causes you to enter the beauty of God’s Holiness and also experience the Purification Fire Anointing.  This experience brings you to a place of total purity because it accompanies both healing, deliverance and cleansing in your body from all forms of defilement, addiction and immorality.

“Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:

And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged”. (Isaiah 6:6-7)

Some Ways Some Men Seduced Young Ladies into Sexual Immorality

1.       Carrying the girl on their legs.

2.       Asking the girl to kiss him.

3.       Showing the girl pornography.

4.       Sending them errands to their room/bed/bathroom.

5.       Keeping a secret with the girl and asking her not to tell anyone.

6.       Telling the girl to help massage his body.

7.       Helping to massage the girl’s body where she may be feeling pain.

8.       Calling the girl to bath with him.

9.       Telling the girl to wash or to bring his under wears.

10.   Playing the doctor by crosschecking the girl’s sexual parts (e.g. the breast, waist, buttocks and virginal)

11.   Trying to dress and undress the girl.

12.   Telling the girl to have a sexual play or experiment with him (e.g. probably what they watch on TV)

13.   Always buying them Sweets, biscuits and giving them money.

14.   Telling the girl to play or rub their sexual organ.

15.   Telling the girl to hug him for long.

16.   Urinating where the girl is watching.

17.   Telling the girl to come to the bed and sleep.

18.   Discussing their sexual issues/activities with the girl in order to stimulate her interest.

19.   Giving the girl much praise about her looks and her sexual figures.

20.   To become naked and half naked in front of the girl.

What We need to Do:

1.       Every young lady/girl needs to be properly thought sexual education

3.       Parents/guidance need to really put here and protect their young ones.

4.       Young Ladies/girls need to be covered in prayers always.

5.       Men also need to seek counseling and prayer when they sense such spirit is in them.

6.       Men who refuse to repent should be dealt with by the law on issues like sexual abuse/ harassment.

Dealing with Sexual Harassment

What Is Sexual Harassment?

Sexual harassment means bothering someone in a sexual way.

Some Facts you need to Know:

·         Sexual harassment is an unwelcome and unpleasant behavior.

·         Sexual harassment is not a GAME or a PLAY.

·         Sexual harassment in most cases grows into sexual assault (rape).

·         Sexual harassment in most cases is repeated when not dealt with.

·         Sexual harassment is only defined from the victim’s point of view.

·         Sexual harassment is against the law.

·         The goal of a sexual harasser may not be sexual, but to gain power or control over the victim.

·         Men/males are also victims are of sexual harassment, most especially from older women/ gay men.

·         Sexual harassment is also very common on the internet (e.g. Cyber-bullying)

Examples of Sexual Harassment

Verbal Harassment: Telling sexual jokes and stories, Asking about sexual fantasies, preferences, or history, Making sexual comments about a person's clothing, anatomy, or looks, Making kissing sounds, howling, and smacking lips, Telling lies or spreading rumors about a person's personal sex life, Referring to an adult as a girl, hunk, doll, babe, or honey, Making sexual comments about a person's body.

Non-Verbal Harassment: Looking a person up and down (elevator eyes), Staring at someone, Blocking a person's path, Following the person, Giving personal gifts, Displaying sexually suggestive visuals, throwing kisses, or licking lips, Making sexual gestures with hands or through body movements, showing up your genitals (Sexual organs).

Physical Harassment: Giving a massage around the neck or shoulders, Touching the person's clothing, hair, or body, Hugging, kissing, Grabbing Caressing, patting, or stroking, Standing close or brushing up against a person, forcing.

Virtual Harassment: Unwanted Love poems, Love letters, Cards, Obscene poems, Obscene gestures Sexually suggestive cartoons, posters, drawings, magazines, pictures and sending unwanted videos.

Common Doors to Watch Out that lead to Sexual Harassment 

1. When someone is trying to help/give you an assistance.
2. When someone is supervising you.
3.When someone is looking/staring at you.
4. When you are in a relationship.
5. When someone is talking/ giving jokes.
6. When someone is angry with you for rejecting his/her request.
7. When you are in a competition with someone.

Some Common Places of Sexual Harassment:

1.      Workplace

2.      Internet (e.g. Facebook)

3.      School

4.      Street

5.      Home

What to Do When Faced with Sexual Harassment

1.      Keep a Journal (writing) of details of who, when, where, what and how of any sexual harassment experienced. 

2.      Be aggressive to state your position to the Harasser.

3.      Get a few witnesses even at first attempt.

4.      If the harasser repeats it, get to the nearest Authority and report your case for the law to be enforced.

5.      Be positive about yourself and live your life. Do live in self-blame, guilt, fear or shame.

6.      Watch and pray. I called this WP strategy. It works best!!! You can use prayer to drive away sexual harasser from your life.
